Shopping in Germany: Alverde body & skin care

Some Alverde bodycare products I bought from Germany this autumn. This post is also only in English because I've been too busy (and lazy)...

Grapefruit-Bambu Shower gel 1.45€ & Papaya-Sea buckthorn shower cream.

The shower gel is ok but it's not as concentrated as S.A.V.E or The body Shop shower gels. I won't buy it again but the scent was very good! I prefer soap bars anyway.

Shower Cream smells yummy too but it was more like gel-cream, I use this kind of products in shaving but Weleda's cream wash is so much creamier & better!

Macgo-acai Anti-Aging lotion 2.95€, Ultra Sensitive body lotion 2.95€, Macademia nut body butter 2.95€.

I LOVE Alverde body lotions & butters, I won't use anything else anymore. *heart* These are BDIH cerfied, CHEAP, smell too good and feel so nice on skin (I can't use anything containing silicone anymore, those feel just disgusting after natural ones).

This time I got Vitamin lotion & unscented Jojoba lotion, I like these a lot but my favorite is still Macademia Nut body butter, it's my HG product! I used to hate body butters (like TBS) but this is SO soft and nice to apply, the scent is also very nice. I also like White tea and olive body lotions a lot, I bought those last time I visited Germany.

Body oils Cassis & wild rose 2.95€.

Body oils are also very nice & Natrue certified. The scents are strong (but delicious) so I like use these only in the evening when I'm not wearing perfume. I also like to mix these with unscented Sensitive body lotion. Oils work better when applied to a damp skin :)

Sea salt deo, lip balsam Calendula 1.15€, Passionfruit eye cream 3.45€.

And some other stuff I bought :) Alverde sea salt deo: I like the scent, remings me of sea :D It's not completely ineffective but it stains black clothes so badly, that I rarely use it. Calendula lip balm is "ok", not terrible but not that good either. I'd say it very "regular" and I'm not a fan of scent of calendula either.  Passionfruit eye cream is creamy, in fact quite "heavy", and it has surprisingly strong scent. I'd love this scent in body lotion but I think it's too much in eye product. I was so sure this can't be eco certified but in fact it was :) I recommend this to night time use and not for the most sensitive skins.

[NOTD] Essence Show your Feet "In the Jungle"

I have a few Essence Show Your feet nail polishes and I've really liked the quality. This one was not that opaque as the colors I bought before (but those were almost one coaters), this one ok after 2 but would have better with 3 coats. This nail polish was very easy to remove! Usually I have green nail polish all over my fingers but with this one, I didn't have any problems. Yay!

Minulla on muutama Essencen Show Your Feet-lakka jo ennestään ja olen pitänyt kovasti niiden laadusta. Tämä lakkahan on tarkoitettu varpaankynsiin mutta pelittää toki mainiosti myös sormissa! Tämä vihreä ei ollut niin peittävä kuin aiemmin hankkimani turkoosi ja lila, mutta ne olivatkin peittäviä jo yhdellä kerroksella. Tämä oli ok kahdella mutta olisi ollut vielä parempi kolmella. Tämä oli hyvin helppo poistaa, toisinaan viheän lakan jäljiltä sormetkin ovat ihan vihreät mutta tämä lähti heti pois. Ostan näitä jatkossakin :)

Shopping in Germany: P2 nail care products

apricot cuticle cream, apricot nail pen 2.75€, cuticle softerner pen 2.45€.

I bought some nail care prodocts from Germany and now I've tested them a while. This post is also only in English, I'm just too busy at the moment :P Reviews of many products also look confusing with many different languages.  I've noticed that many bloggers like these products and no wonder, these really were inexpensive and very nice products! I'll definitely buy more next time I visit Germany :)

Apricot cuticle cream: Excellent quality and I love the creamy consistency & lovely scent of apricot. *heart* Felt nourishing.

Apricot nail care pencil: My favorite! This is SO easy to use, I love the brush applicator. Too bad I bought just one, I need this on my work place, bedside table, makeup table, handbag... ;D The smell is lovely and the consistency is fresh, non greasy gel-cream.

Cuticle Softener pen: I always hate cuticle softeners, because my cuticle are terrible :P I wish I had time to get a manicure once a month! This product was surprisingly effective though, I didn't like the smell much but it was ok. The tip was in fact very good in pushing back the cuticles. So I liked this as much as I can like a product like this ;)

hand creams & nail polish remover.

I haven't tested the hand creams yet (I prefer natural ones) but I got this minisizes for travelling. The nail polish remover is good but I bought it because of the bottle ;) I'm planning of refilling it later, I really like the one touch bottles! The product itself is much better than I though, I have no problem of using it. I still prefer Depend green though.


P2 Noni Nectar nail care spray is one of my favorites, I have used it a lot. This "spray" bottle (= a pump bottle) contains clear gel which is non greasy and I have used it before applying nail polish. It leaves nail a bit tacky but I still have used it directly under nailpolish. It works fine, at least on my nails. The scent is fresh and nice, the gel looks green in the bottle but it's clear when applied to the nail. I think it has made my nail moisturized and therefore stronger.

P2 Aloe Vera Cuticle peeling was "ok". I broke the roll-on bottle very quickly and the product was quite average. I used it already but won't buy again, Mavala Whitening nail scrub is much better!

Shopping in Germany: Alverde hair care

I took me "a while" to write this :P I'll also write only in English, since these are unfortunately not sold in Finland (and I'm too busy). The prices are CHEAP: shampoos 1.95€ and conditioners 2.25€. Most of these shampoos or conditoners are not ecocertified but vegan & silicone free, there is one ecocertifien conditioner (sensitive) but I don't like it at all. Most of the Alverde products are ecocertified.

I bought Alverde Men shampoo for my husband and he loves it :D It's as good as the other Alverde shampoos (I've tested it too) but it looks more masculine and contains beer. I recommend this to your dads, husbands, boyfriends & sons :D The scent is ok for women too, it's not like "masculine" scents usually. NaTrue certified.

I also bought Alverde Men Eye roll-on for him but it's mine now ;D It is REALLY good, easy to apply, refreshing and the scent is mild & neutral (not masculine or feminine), I recommend this to everybody but not if you have very dry skin. I think I'll buy many of these when I visit Germany next time! BDIH certified.

Alverde MEN eye roll-on Inci

Alverde Blond shampoo & conditioner: These are as good as the rest of Alverde shampoos/conditioners but  I personally don't like this very sweet scent of honey. I also don't think it does anything for my blonde hair :)

Alverde Coffein (green coffee) shampoo and condioner are just great! I think they make my hair feel stronger :) The scent is also nice, it's green and fresh and suitable for both men & women.

Alverde Sensitive condioner, BDIH certified and that certificate was the only reason I didn't leave this to my hotel in Germany :P I really do not like this at all! The scent is too strong (lavender I think?) and it just doesn't make my hair feel as soft & good as the other Alverde conditioners. Makes me think that it's impossible to make ecocertified conditioner I would really like :/ I tried to use this in my hair & kids hair but eventully I gave up.

The travel size is Alverde Avocado conditioner, one of my favorites and the one I'd recommend for longer or damaged hair. I have to use it carefully, it's very conditioning. I have also used this as a waterproof eyemakeup remover! Yep, I forgot my makeup removers home and this did the job ;D

Alverde styling gel (I have travel size & normal size) is ok and I like to use it. I still won't say it's great but it's BDIH certified and not expensive, so you could try it. The consistency is very typical to eco-gels. The hold is not strong, I use it on my damp hair before blow drying. My hair type is very silky & fine, this makes it a bit more manageable. Smells very good!

Alverde hair spray is also something I can't recommend to all but I still like it. The hold is not strong, not enough for me anyway, but almost everytime I've used it I've heard compliments of my "super shiny hair"! Smells good too :)

You can buy this brand from the Central Europe (I buy mine from DM in Germany), the products not sold in webshops. I REALLY love their products (except makeup) I bought a lot as a gift too:

Canmake Nudy Glow lip gloss "Sugar Milk Tea"

I bought Canmake's Nudy Glow in Sugar Milk Tea when I was shopping with Jennifer in Hong Kong :) This gloss is really a lovely nude gloss, too bad that I just have far to many nude glosses! Canmake is a japanese brand so there were no incis in this package.

The color is very nice, so neutral and light that it looks good with strong eyemakeup. I like the brush applicator and creamy consistency. These are not very lasting on lips, but I don't think any lipglosses really are... This also gives nice amount of color, it's nude but not invisible :) I think this is as good as MAC's ridiculously overpriced (that big tube contains as much as travel sizes usually :P) Cremesheen glasses.

Ostin Canmaken Nudy Glow huulikiillon sävyssä Milk Sugar Tea ollessani Jenniferin kanssa shoppailemssa Hong Kongissa :) Tämä kiilto on oikein ihana, harmi vain kun tällaisia on kertynyt kaapit pullolleen jo :P Canmake on japanilainen markettimerkki ja kuten yleensäkin japanilaisista tuotteista, tästäkin puuttuu inci.

Sävy on todella kaunis, niin neutraali ja vaalea että näyttää hyvältä tummien silmämeikkien kanssa. Pidän kovasti sivellinaplikaattorista ja voidemaisesta koostumuksesta. Kovin pysyvä tämä ei ole ole mutta eipä huulikiillot yleensäkään mielestäni ole... Antaa kivasti väriä, on nude muttei näkymätön :) Mielestäni tämä on ihan yhtä hyvä kuin MACin naurettavan ylihinnoitellut (suuressa hylsyssä on tavaraa kutakuinkin minikiillon verran) Cremesheen glassit.
