Fashioned in Finland

Clinique City Block is a classic: I even used this when I was a teenager! It works perfectly under makeup (also mineral powder) and alone. Makes skin matte (well, at least "not shiny") and gives hint of color (not much but just enough to even the skin tone slightly). I have used SPF25 for years and now I bought trial size of SPF40 from Hong Kong. This is not enough to wear on the beach, it's a "city block". Tuote jättää ihon kiillottomaksi (tuntuu kuin sisältäisi puuteria) ja antaa samalla hieman väriäkin (sen verran, että ihon sävy tasoittuu hieman). Olen käyttänyt SK 25-versiota vuosia ja nyt Hing kongista ostin testikoon SK 40:stä.  Tämä on tosiaan "City Block" eli ei aurinkorannalle mutta kiva lisäsuoja kaupunkikäytössä! I bought this Jarbuki from MAD Minerals , I thought it would be great with SPF powder. JarBuki is a jar & a brush in one, the brush is super soft ! There is also a little mirror on the top, but unfortunately there is not a lid etc you can use when you apply the powder. This is very nice but I still would say it's portable: the sifter should be closable. I sealed all but 2 holes and there is still powder everywhere... If they ever do this with closable sifter, it would be almost PERFECT :D I've ordered form MAD Minerals several times, the shipping takes usually 2 weeks but this time it took over 3 weeks. They sent the package quickly but sometimes it just takes more time :) Ostin JarBukin MAD Mineralsilta , ajattelin tämän toimivan hyvin aurinkosuoja-puuterin kanssa. I don't wear sunsceens often in Finland, that's because I just don't be in the sun at all and most sunscreens are full of chemicals (and/or greasy and thick), so I don't really even want to use those daily... However we will spend our holiday in Cyprus and I hope there will be sunny and warm. I don't burn easily in the sun but I get even too tanned easily, so I like to avoid sun :D If you are interested in different active ingredients in sunsceens, you can find more info from here . I'm in fact very surprised that not all sunscrens are photostable (here is one link or just google "photostable sunscreen"). I also read that avobenzone (butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) doesn't work that well with minerals because zink oxide & titanium dioxide make avobenzone less effective :-O My problem is that my skin HATES silicones and practically every single sunscreen contains silicones (including the ones in this post, except the mineral ones).
