A few of my frieds are Bare Escentuals Buxom-addicts, so I just had to try these babes! Size is smaller than regular (2 ml) but I always like to have more than just one color :) Babes about town kit contains 4 lip sticks and 4 lip polishes.
First of all, the smell (caramel?) is divine! I even got compliments of my perfume and all I was wearing was these babes. LOL. But unfotunately my lips feel FREEZING (it's much more that "tingly sensation", really) when I apply this... Staying power is very good because I definitely do not want to touch my lips. Lip polishes are not sticky and I like that! Lip Stick are pencil like are quite dry. These are ok under Buxom lip polish though but I cound't use these without lipgloss.
I will definitely use these in special occasions but not daily, since my lips nearly hurt when I use Buxoms... And I wouldn't want to kiss my kids when I'm using these!
Have you tried Buxoms and what do you think? Maybe my skin is just too sensitive to use these?
I just noticed that it's much easier to swatch eyeshadown than lip glosses :D

Muutama ystäväni on Bare Escentuals Buxom-addikteja, joten pakkohan näitä oli testata! Mies toi tuliaisina Sephorasta Buxom Babes about Town-paketin (39 USD-> noin 26.50€). Kiillot ovat normaalia pienempiä (2 ml) mutta ihan reilut silti ja mielummin otan useamman värin testiin :) Paketissa on 4 huulipunapuikkoa ja 4 huulikiiltoa.
Ensinnäkin tuoksu on jumalainen! Mielestäni karamellimainen ja olen kuullut jopa kehuja parfyymistäni ja käytössä oli vain Buxom :D Valitettavasti huuleni tuntuvat "jääkylmiltä" ja pisteleviltä näitä käyttäessäni... Pysyvät kyllä hyvin, sillä en uskalla koskeakaan huulini näitä käyttäessäni. Liian tahmeita kiillot eivät ole ja siitä pidän. Huulipunapuikot ovat todella kuivaa laatua mutta toimivat kiillon alla, yksinään en voisi käyttää ollenkaan.
Todella kivat juhlakäyttöön mutta arkisin en voi näitä käyttää (sattuu liikaa) ja uutenkaan en kovin mielellään lapsia suukottele tämän kera...
Oletko testannut Buxomeita ja mitä pidit? Mahtaako ihoni vain olla liian herkkä näihinkin?

The polishes are gorgeous! I've never tried them since I have really sensitive skin. I used the Too Faced plumping stuff and it BURNED. So now I'm weary about anything "plumping"!

ReplyDeleteMä jaksan aina ihmetellä että mitä HITTOA noihin huulia turvottaviin kiiltoihin ja puniin laitetaan, että niistä tulee tuollainen kauhea tunne huulille. Kerran olen kokeillut jotain sellaista kiiltoa, merkkiä en muista, mutta huulia melkein kirveli :/ Upeita sävyjä nuo kyllä.
