I wanted to show what difference does MAC bare canvas-paint do as a primer. I must admit that results were nothing like I expected... Here is the picture without it and my own (terrible) lid color showing through:

I was very suprised, because I had to use AT LEAST 5 times more pigment I usually use and it still looks "washed out" :-O Maybe this works better with regular eyeshadows? I'll try this tomorrow with Orglamix pigments I tried just recently and maybe after that with MAC Photo Realism quad.
Siis mitä ihmettä! Käytin AINAKIN 5 kertaa enemmän pigmenttiä kuin yleensä ja tämä näyttää ihan valjulta :-O Ehkä tämä toimii paremmin perinteisten luomivärien kanssa? Kokeilen tätä huomenna Orglamix-pigmenttien kanssa, joita juuri käytinkin, ja ehkä sen jälkeen MAC photo realism-nelikon kanssa.

Oho! En ole pigmenttien tai mineraalien kanssa kokeillut, mutta Macin omat luomivärit ovat tuon avulla pompsahtaneet kauniin intensiivisiksi. -sh-
ReplyDeleteNiin-pä! Arvaa vain olinko aamulla, että "oho" :D Täytyy testata MACin kanssa ja Orglamixin/Aromaleighin, tosiaan kun nuo Meowit eivät olleet kovin peittävät alkujaankaan...

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried MAC paint pots, but that doesn't look very...uh...good. Not to say you didn't do it good, but it looks like it made the color go weird. I prefer without it! It also looks sort of tan (on the swatch) I doubt I could even wear it!
En käytä Paint Poteja primereina, koska mulla luomet rasvoittuu ja luomivärien (nimenomaan mineraalien) väri muuttuu TODELLA oudoksi. Olin aivan järkyttynyt, koska kauhean moni oli kehunut, että toimivat täydellisesti primereina...

ReplyDeleteI also added a pic of this product, it's a tube version. I tried it with Orglamix Lagoon& Brimstone this morning and those colors looked awful too :/ So this is a no no for mineral eyeshadows! I applied some MAC over it and it was better, but damage was already done... I'll post pictures later. I think regural eyeshadows work better with this, minerals just do not stick to it. I have NEVER before had problem with any primer and I'm a primer addict too ;D
En ole kokeillut mineraalien alla kun en mineraaleja yleensä käytä. MACin alla tuo toimii mutta Diorien alla ei. On ehkä niin paksua että imee värit itseensä. Bare canvas ei muutenkaan ole parasta kastia Painteista.
ReplyDeleteI don't use the paints. I know people do but the picture using the paint doesn't look so great. You would think it would really give your shadow a pop of color. Looks totally the opposite....I use UDPP or Nyx Jumbo crayons. They work great and so are very cheap!!! color payoff is awesome with the crayons...
